Neil Foston and Jon Ayling played their second league match at the British Queen pub in Meldreth yesterday. Next to a roaring open fire play initially followed a regular pattern as they traded drops and the odd 2 point win to reach 3-3. But the fireworks were to come as Neil doubled early and Jon redoubled to 4 in a hard to judge ‘primey’ position. Shortly after this, Neil doubled again which Jon took, making this a match winning game. The dice went in Neil’s favour and he secured the match and a further 2 points.
