Charles Pell from the Cambridge Backgammon Club, won the Worcester Intermediates Open last November 2025, coming out on top with six wins, beating Richard Bassett from Lowestoft in the final. The final was recorded an analysed afterwards in XG, and Charles played with a PR of 7.5 for which he was very happy.

On top ot that, as a member of the UKBGF the victory secured Charles a place at the next year’s Tour Invitational event at Shrigley Hall in Macclesfield in January 2026.

But that’s not all ! Charles also won the “Maid Marion” prize at the Robin Hood Open, over the weekend of the 7th and 8th of March 2026.
